Brož, Petr ; Marada, Miroslav (advisor) ; Květoň, Viktor (referee)
The issue of transport is currently one of the most discussed topics, thanks to deepening regional differentiation causing increased demands on the quality of existing transport links. Especially the attractiveness of centers and the existence of good transport infrastructure, stimulating the development of the region (his success), is becoming one of the most debated issues of our times. This diploma thesis deals with the comparison and evaluation of changes in spatial interaction in the settlement of the Plzeň/ Pilsen region in two time slices (1991 and 2001). Analysis of the interactions of traffic will be done by using statistical methods and using GIS technology. Main attention will be paid to the spatial differentiation of the frequency of traffic flows and transport accessibility. Subsequently, the transport characteristics will be compared with the characteristics of the complex importance of settlement, so the basic relationships between these indicators can be found. Keywords: spatial interaction, accessibility, frequency of public transport, traffic flows, transport regionalization, Plzeň/ Pilsen region.

Periferní oblasti Plzeňského kraje - vymezení, typy a stabilita
PODLEŠÁKOVÁ, Nikola
The Bachelor thesis determines peripheral areas of the Region of Plzeň, together with semi-peripheral and suburban areas in the above-mentioned region, and presents an evaluation of the social-population development of these areas. The theory of the thesis is based upon concepts of settlement centrality, peripherality in an area, social-population development of municipalities and geographically conditioned social exclusion. Municipalities constitute territorial units of the analyses. Peripherality is understood as a territorial remoteness from micro-regional settlement centres. Accordingly, the first step consisted in defining micro-regional settlement centres according to the community amenities of these centres, the number of population, commuting to work and schools and transport facilities. The most important settlement centre of the region is the town of Plzeň, followed by Klatovy, Rokycany, Domažlice, Sušice, Tachov, Přeštice, Stříbro, Horažďovice, Nýřany, Kralovice and Planá. Other settlement centres, with fewer community amenities available, were indicated as provincial (pico), township (nano) and rural (femto). In the subsequent step, peripheral municipalities were delineated on the basis of an excessively long time spent by travelling by a means of transport to the nearest micro-regional centre, and/or inadequate transport connections with the given centre. Clusters of peripheral municipalities give rise to peripheral areas - border, inter-regional and intra-regional areas. The social-population development (stability) of peripheral, suburban and semi-peripheral municipalities, peripheral areas as well as micro-regional and minor settlement centres were evaluated in the last step. The aforesaid development (stability) was assessed based on the long-term and short-term population development, natural and migration balance of inhabitants, representation of inhabitants' segments of children and seniors, representation of university students, level of entrepreneurship and level of apartment construction. From the perspective of social-population development (stability), the most serious problems were identified in inter-regional peripheral areas, especially those neighbouring the Central Bohemian Region.
Awareness and readiness of fire protection units
KOTĚŠOVEC, Tomáš
The Bachelor thesis solves the problem knowledge of third category of Fire rescue units in the territory of the Pilsen region, ie their knowledge of vocational training. The task was to find out if the knowledge of the training is at a sufficient level. The data was obtained through a questionnaire survey, which was attended by a total of 104 respondents from the third category of Fire Rescue Units in the Pilsen Region. This survey was conducted from April to June 2018. The questionnaire was distributed in printed form (Appendix 1) to prevent possible search of information on the internet. The questionnaire was conceived in six thematic areas according to the basic training that each member must pass before joining the unit. The aim of the thesis was "To assess the current state of awareness of third category of Fire rescue in the territory of the Pilsen Region". Here the hypothesis was set: "The awareness of the third category of Fire rescue units in the territory of the Pilsen region does not reach 75%." The results, which are shown in Table 19, show the awareness is below 75%. Therefore, we accept a zero hypothesis. From the results of the work it is clear that the knowledge of training in the Third Category of Fire rescue units in the Pilsen Region is very low. It is necessary to modify the training system and to find ways to ensure that members have sufficient knowledge to carry out activities in the Corps of Volunteer Firemen of the municipality. These results can be used to improve of the training.

Transformations Capacity in selected Social Services for Seniors in the Pilsen Region
KUČERA, Vít
The demographic changes of society affect its structure, which is the subject of many disciplines and experts working in them. In the introductory part of this work we draw on knowledge from demographic prognoses, followed by data on the legal definition, planning and importance of selected social services of homes for dementia and Alzheimer's special care and respite. The aim of this work is to show the perspective of social service providers, namely how they perceive the increase in service capacities. The main objective was to map out the process of accessing homes for dementia and Alzheimer's special care and respites in residential form. In the research, two sub-objectives were defined, namely the identification of limits for capacity building of homes for dementia and Alzheimer's special care and relief services. Using the questioning method and semi-structured interview techniques, are the limits identified, which social services providers must face today and, on the other hand, the limits that appear to be restrictive in the future horizon, according to social service providers. Based on the research has been found that the most problematic factors concern personnel and financial services. In addition, limits were identified in cooperation with the Pilsen region. The results of this work are evidence of individual systemic discrepancies, which are evident both at national and regional level. That is why they pay attention to work about possible solutions that reflect the very importance of this topic. The results obtained can serve as a reflection in the planning of social services at the regional level, the professional and lay public, or as a proof of the status of social services in this territory.
